What Is the UGC NET Exam?

The University Grants Commission National Ability Test is specially designed for aspirants who want to do research as professional work, so they apply for the UGC NET exams. The UGC NET exam is said to be a digital-based assessment that consists of two subjects under examination, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Before proceeding further in the examination, candidates must be aware of the small details so that they can avoid unwanted disqualification. What Is the CSIR NET Examination?

The CSIR NET exams consist of three subjects Paper A, B, and C where the first paper is common to all the applied candidates, but the other two subjects are specific in nature. This is a completely computer-based examination conducted all over the country.  Same as the other competitive examinations, candidates need to fit under the qualification criteria.

The age limit for the CSIR NET examination is 28 years for the general category, 31 for the OBC categories, and 33 years for the SC/ST and PWD applicants. The Assistant Professor doesn’t have an upper age restriction. Educational Qualifications are 55 per cent in M.Sc. for the general category and 50 per cent in M.Sc. or B.Sc. for the SC/ST and OBC categories. The syllabus for the CSIR NET paper 1 Numerical Ability, Graphical Analysis, Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. As the paper 2 syllabus varies according to the candidates’ choice the detailed syllabus must be read carefully and preparations shall be made accordingly for the selected subject.
